PlaybillCalm Down, Shut Up and Quit Trippin!

Get ready for a real treat. At 7pm on Friday, May 18 the newly formed Flipper Youth Drama Ensemble will present a play entitled "Calm Down, Shut Up, and Quit Trippin!" as part of Flipper's Fellowship Day 2001 Observance. Members of the ensemble have been rehearsing dilligently for nearly two months in hopes of putting on an entertaining and uplifting performance that will serve to minister to those who have seemingly lost faith in the word of God. "Calm Down" will feature Miss Ashlee Worlds as Kendra Wells, a 'done-on-her=faith' mother struggling to stay "above water", and Miss Breonna Williams as Madia, the family's cantankerous God-fearing matriarch who tries her best to keep Kendra's family together. Rehearsals are still ongoing throughout the week and all players are encouraged to attend. Please make plans to come out and support our youth as they do their part to insure a successful Fellowship Day experience.

SteppersGettin' in Step

My, our Youth Church has truly been busy these last few months! If you are among the many Flipperites who have heard strange stomping noises and raised voices eminating up from the Fellowship Hall have no fear...it's only our kids gettin' in step with Jesus! On certain Mondays in the past few months Bro. Fred Barton and his assistant Takiyah have been working patiently with the Step Team in preparation for two upcoming engagements, both on Saturday, May 19. Around 12noon our young steppers are scheduled to strut their stuff during the annual Emancipation festivities at Walker-Ford Community Center. Then at 3pm they are set to perform once more during Flipper's Celebrate 2K1 at Jake Gaither Community Center. We are certain that all of our youth will do their very best during each one of these appearances and truly appreciate the time and care Bro. Barton and his crew take with our kids. The Step Team is coordinated by Sis. Greta Campbell.
